Health Tip: Detox – What Is It & How To Deal

Yes, it’s a real thing. Yes, it can be unpleasant. But guess what?! If you’re experiencing detox symptoms, that means that what you are doing is WORKING!!! Don’t stop now!!

It’s time to celebrate! Grab a glass of water and take a drink, then do a couple of Hoedowns (T-Tapp) or go for a walk!

Cheers to you!! You are flushing out toxins that have been keeping you down. Drinking more water and going for a walk or doing some T-Tapp will help to flush those toxins out and help you feel better faster. Keep taking your supplements, eating healthy and doing your exercise.

Taking a detox bath (Epsom or Sea salt bath, there are hundreds of “recipes” on line) will help as well. While you’re on line, look up dry brushing as well.

What causes detox? Whenever we change the way we eat, add in healthy supplements, or start a new exercise routine our bodies go into a bit of shock. Plus, that nasty fungus that lives in our guts is being deprived of its favorite food, it gets a little crabby when its hungry.

We go through layers of detox as we continue our health journey, so be prepared to experience this occasionally. Trust me on this, it is SO worth it!!

What are some of the symptoms of detox? There are several, and we’re trying to keep things simple here so we’ll just share a few of the most common ones.

  • Increased sugar cravings
  • Headaches
  • Body aches
  • Fever
  • Skin issues (breakouts, rashes, etc)
  • Fatigue
  • Bloating & Constipation
  • Weight Gain
  • Nausea
